About the Role
Prisma Health is seeking a Board Certified OB/Gyn physician with a strong interest in academic medicine to serve in the dual capacity of clinician and Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs/Operations for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This leadership position is designed for an individual with a well-established reputation for excellence in clinical care, teaching, mentorship, collegiality, and scholarship.
The Vice Chair of Operations will oversee all aspects of patient care within the department, including midwifery services, advanced practice providers, ultrasound operations, and both inpatient and outpatient clinical programs. As a key member of the leadership team, the Vice Chair will partner closely with the Department Chair to provide aligned leadership and strategic oversight of clinical operations across faculty and divisions. Through collaborative leadership, the role fosters a vibrant departmental culture, supports patient care planning, and strategically delegates responsibilities to advance departmental goals. The position is accountable for sustaining a culture of excellence, ensuring high performance standards, and promoting consistency in clinical practices driven by patient safety, quality outcomes, and evidence-based care. Designated administrative time is provided to support these operational responsibilities.
