About the Team and Mission

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center (SWMC) in Vancouver, Washington, is a 450-bed Level II trauma center and community regional referral center serving the Portland metro area. As part of PeaceHealth's community of healthcare professionals, SWMC operates alongside PeaceHealth Medical Group, a multi-specialty group serving communities throughout Clark County.

The OB/GYN team is a collegial group of nine physicians and a physician assistant. The department supports a state-of-the-art birthing center with over 2,200 births annually, featuring 32 labor/delivery rooms and three operating rooms. The team benefits from onsite Maternal/Fetal Medicine and Neonatology specialists, OB Hospitalists, and OB Anesthetists available 24/7. Additionally, the facility is adjacent to a Level III Neonatal ICU staffed by OHSU physicians.

About the Role

This newly posted position offers a dynamic clinical environment where OB/GYN physicians can focus on patient care with a manageable average of 15-18 patients per day. The role is designed to support clinician well-being through PeaceHealth's dedicated wellness program, which includes a medical director of clinician wellness, free coaching and counseling services, and the DAX ambient intelligent scribe solution to assist with ambulatory notes.

Physicians will also have access to the Practice Experience Program (PEP), a longitudinal initiative focusing on efficiency principles, patient experience, and human experience, complete with CME credits. The position includes fully paid malpractice insurance and financial assistance for relocation, including home finding and moving services.
