Ob Hospitalist Group (OBHG), founded in 2006, leads the industry in developing and managing in-house OB/GYN hospitalist programs. Our mission is to make care safer for moms and babies while helping OB/GYNs achieve a better balance in their own lives. We provide unparalleled clinician support and resources within a collegial, team-based work environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Ob/Gyn Hospitalist to join our team across our South Carolina facilities. This role is designed to offer a healthy work-life balance, requiring a minimum of five 24-hour shifts per month for full-time status. You will enjoy no on-call responsibility or office management duties, allowing you to focus entirely on clinical excellence.\n Our coverage model ensures safety and support: at Summerville Medical Center, we operate a 2.0 coverage program with two OBHG physicians on site 24/7. You will work alongside advanced technology, maternal-fetal care specialists, and IBCLC certified lactation consultants to deliver comprehensive maternity services.

Our Locations

We offer opportunities across three premier facilities in the Lowcountry:

Summerville Medical Center Located in Dorchester County, this 124-bed hospital is home to a Level II nursery and a maternal-fetal telemedicine program. Known as 'The Birthplace of Sweet Tea' and 'The Flower Town in the Pines,' Summerville is beautiful in the spring with blooming azaleas. It is conveniently located just minutes from Charleston.

East Cooper Medical Center (ECMC) Situated in Mount Pleasant, just across the iconic Ravenel Bridge from Charleston, ECMC sees approximately 1,800 annual deliveries. Mount Pleasant offers a refreshing change of pace with award-winning seafood, historic military locations, and notable sights like Boone Hall Plantation and Remley's Point.

Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital Located in Charleston, this 204-bed facility traces its mission back to 1882. It is committed to making childbirth a positive experience with a full range of obstetrics and women's health services. Charleston, named 'America's Most Friendly City,' is defined by its cobblestone streets, pastel antebellum houses, and rich history.
