The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Carilion Clinic and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine is a physician-led, multi-specialty healthcare organization. Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where this role is based, is a 763-bed academic and tertiary care facility. It serves nearly one million people throughout southwestern Virginia and holds the distinction of being a Magnet Hospital. The hospital features a Virginia State-designated Level 1 Trauma Center and a Level III Nursery, and is recognized as one of the most wired and wireless hospitals in the United States.
We are seeking a full-time Academic Specialist in General Obstetrics and Gynecology to join a dynamic group of 19 other OB/GYN physicians and 9 Advanced Clinical Practitioners. This position offers a full-spectrum general obstetric and gynecologic practice within a vibrant community-based academic environment.
The successful candidate will balance excellent clinical skills with a strong enthusiasm for medical education, playing a key role in training residents and students. A faculty appointment, commensurate with experience, is available at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
