Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center (SRMC) has been providing care to west central Ohio since 1918. The OB/GYN team at SRMC prides itself on providing preconception care, prenatal care, birthing classes, and postpartum support. With OB/GYNs in the hospital 24 hours a day, the facility offers high-tech fetal monitoring, pain management services, maternal-fetal medicine, and lactation services. SRMC currently sees approximately 1,500 annual deliveries.

About the Role

This OB Hospitalist position is available full-time, part-time, or on a PRN basis at locations in Marietta, Canton, and Lima, Ohio. The role is designed to support private practice physicians by providing coverage and assistance, ensuring that all pregnant women presenting emergently receive care regardless of circumstance.

In this team-based environment, you will cultivate relationships with staff nurses and hospital personnel while caring for unassigned and triage patients. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring labor, delivering babies, performing surgery and surgical assists, and evaluating and treating postpartum patients. You will also provide consultation to the Emergency Department, assist with OB residents and medical student education, and participate in emergency drills and simulations to facilitate daily interdisciplinary board rounds and improve patient safety.

The position offers a flexible schedule with no on-call responsibility. You will work within a collegial environment that supports ongoing professional training, leadership development, and volunteer opportunities for group medical mission trips.
