AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We are the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We tackle the most challenging problems, managing thousands of variables impacting the supply chain to deliver seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost.
The Global Network Delivery organization is seeking a Network Deployment Planner to join our growing Planning and Implementation team within AWS Data Center Delivery. You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Together, we collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while driving the stability and sustainability of next-generation networks.
At Amazon, we are working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. If you'd like to help us build the place to find and buy anything online, this is your chance to make history.
As a Network Deployment Planner, you will scope and plan interdependent capacity scaling projects and new network capacity deployments across several data center locations. Your day-to-day involves reviewing project forecasts to assure physical infrastructure resources are available for execution and coordinating design, project timelines, and construction milestones.
You will work closely with infrastructure supply chain & procurement, network engineering, and technical program managers to plan and deliver customer capacity to local data center installation & deployment technicians. This ensures smooth capacity execution and facilitates fast, repeatable solutions. The role requires high levels of autonomous work with minimal supervision to drive innovation and scale our network as we expand.
Success in this role demands the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and collaborative environment. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to timelines, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management, and prioritizing tasks based on fluctuating needs.
