Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDistribute and collect menus and assist patients with diet orders
- check_circleUpdate patient kardex to include diet changes and document nourishments
- check_circleComplete production sheets and document all special food requests
- check_circleCheck patient tray lines to ensure meals match diet and patient requests
- check_circlePrepare and check early trays and ensure food carts leave kitchen on schedule
- check_circleVisit patients to gather food preferences, allergies, and nutritional history
- check_circlePerform cleaning duties in the nutrition service area
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedFood handler's permit if mandated by state or county regulations
- verifiedMinimum one-year experience as a Diet Clerk/Nutrition Services Clerk in an acute care facility preferred
