Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDistributes and collects menus and processes diet orders
- check_circleUpdates patient kardex to include diet changes and documents nourishments
- check_circleCompletes production sheets and documents special food requests
- check_circlePrepares and checks early trays and ensures food carts leave on schedule
- check_circleVisits patients to gather food preferences, allergies, and nutritional history
- check_circleChecks patient tray lines to ensure meal accuracy and proper garnishing
- check_circlePerforms cleaning duties in the nutrition service area
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedFood handler's permit if mandated by state or county regulations
- verifiedMinimum one-year experience as a Diet Clerk/Nutrition Services Clerk in an acute care facility preferred
