The Community Training Center operates within the Hospital and departmental framework to support operational components across a diverse patient population, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. This Registered Nurse position serves as a pivotal educational resource and change agent within the hospital. The role focuses on assessing, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating both clinical and non-clinical educational programs. You will act as a consultant to peers, staff, and students, utilizing adult learning principles to design curricula that address identified practice gaps and organizational needs.
In this capacity, you will integrate evidence-based practice into all educational activities, ensuring that instruction is grounded in current research and best practices. The role requires a proactive approach to patient safety, encouraging active participation from patients and staff in maintaining safe care environments. As a professional development practitioner, you will serve as a role model, mentoring others and advancing the nursing profession through continuous learning and ethical practice.
Candidates are encouraged to apply with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or a related discipline. Essential qualifications include three years of directly related experience and current RN licensure in New Mexico (or reciprocal agreement). The position requires the ability to obtain specific certifications, including CPR for Healthcare Providers and Age Appropriate Instructor Certifications, within specified timeframes.
