This position serves as a vital member of the healthcare team, dedicated to demonstrating excellent communication skills and a strong patient focus. The role involves performing direct and indirect nursing care activities, including assisting with simple procedures, initiating CPR, and managing the admitting, transfer, and discharge processes. You will apply knowledge of normal growth and development while responding dynamically to changing patient needs in collaboration with all healthcare team members.
Beyond clinical duties, you will actively participate in fostering team spirit and unit morale, often acting as a preceptor for new Critical Care Technicians (CT). The role requires a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, engaging in quality improvement initiatives, and making decisions grounded in ethical principles. You will also take an active role in your own personal and professional development while ensuring effective information exchange and maintaining positive public relations.
This role operates on a night shift schedule with every other weekend.
