4H and 4G are 22-bed units specializing in digestive diseases, caring for an even mix of medical and surgical patients. The team supports colorectal and bariatric surgical cases, as well as conditions such as bowel obstruction, kidney failure, cellulitis, and falls. As an accredited bariatric surgery center, we focus on continuous quality improvement to enhance the lives of our patients and families.
Set within a quiet property of mature trees and healing gardens, Blodgett Hospital has earned a reputation for excellence as a community and teaching hospital since 1846. We provide patient-focused inpatient care in 248 private rooms and offer outpatient services for medical, surgical, and specialty care, achieving high rates of patient satisfaction.
This position operates on a part-time basis, working 24 hours per week on a 7a-7:30p shift schedule, every other weekend. As a team member, you will deliver quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider. Your day will involve performing basic skills per department guidelines, including taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating patients, wound care, and catheterization. You will act as a safety attendant while collecting and reporting physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families. Accurate and timely documentation is essential to your daily workflow.
