This position provides primary health care to a specific patient population within the guidelines of written protocols, following established nursing standards, procedures, and practices. You will engage in the diagnosis and treatment of disease, defects, or injuries, recommending or prescribing treatments for the relief or cure of physical, mental, or functional ailments.
Beyond direct patient care, you will play a key role in the operational and strategic aspects of the practice. This includes participating in physician educational programs regarding capitated medicine, responding to requests for proposals for managed care contracts, and assisting in the development of operational and capital budgets. You will also contribute to quality assurance programs, utilization management, and the selection of management information systems.
