Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Travel Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. In this role, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran. You will then electronically document the exam findings required by the VA.

It is important to note that this position is strictly for performing Disability Assessments. You will not treat patients, prescribe medication, or make disability determinations; those decisions are made solely by the United States Veterans Administration. On average, you will conduct assessments for 3 to 5 Veterans per day.

Work Environment & Travel

This is an in-person position primarily focused on performing incarcerated exams throughout Pennsylvania, with secondary opportunities for nationwide travel when openings arise in the incarcerated schedule.

Travel is a core component of this role. You will be required to commit to at least two weeks of travel each month. The typical travel schedule involves departing for the assigned location on Sunday evening and returning to your home city on Friday evening or Saturday morning. All travel logistics, including flights, hotels, and rental cars, are arranged and paid for by the company, ensuring no out-of-pocket expenses for you.

Hiring Process & Application

Candidates must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license. While providers with multiple state licenses are preferred, there is no requirement to apply for multi-state licenses to begin.
