The Manager of Care Management I serves as a strategic leader within Intermountain Health, driving alignment between care management operations and broader system-level strategies. This position oversees multiple disciplines across utilization review, acute and emergency department care, and ambulatory/community settings. By collaborating with medical staff, nursing, clinical, and revenue cycle leaders, the role ensures the optimization of both patient care quality and financial performance.
Reporting to the Care Management Director, this leader manages departmental services including social work, complex care planning, transitions of care, and utilization management. The role is pivotal in shaping enterprise-wide strategies to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered, and equitable care. While the primary scope covers operations Monday through Friday in non-24-hour service areas, the position may require weekend support for escalations and travel to various locations for operational oversight.
