As Maryland's largest children's hospital, Johns Hopkins Children's Center handles more than 92,000 patient visits and nearly 9,000 admissions annually. We are recognized for centers of excellence in dozens of pediatric subspecialties, including allergy, cardiology, cystic fibrosis, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, pulmonary care, and transplantation.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Nurse Manager to lead our 28-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The Johns Hopkins PICU is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art care to children and young adults with life-threatening acute illnesses and those recovering from major surgery. Critical medical conditions treated here include acute respiratory failure, complex congenital and acquired cardiac failure, renal and hepatic failure, shock, overwhelming infections, metabolic diseases, severe asthma, seizures, cardiac arrest, brain resuscitation, and diabetic coma.
Notably, the PICU serves as the shock trauma and burn unit for the care of critically injured and burned children throughout the state of Maryland. The Nurse Manager provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, engagement, and professional growth.
We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where we embrace and celebrate our differences. All employees feel valued as they contribute to our mission of serving the community and engaging in equitable healthcare delivery and workforce practices.
