The Nurse Manager will lead and oversee Domitilla 6B (Do6B), a 23-bed general care nursing unit that provides care for pulmonary and medical patients. The unit supports a diverse inpatient population, including pulmonary-focused patients and general medical overflow.
In this role, you will be accountable for the implementation of the vision, mission, and values of Mayo Clinic and the Department of Nursing within your defined area of practice. You will plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate operational, fiscal, and personnel activities to ensure the provision of quality patient care 24 hours a day. Your day will involve contributing to the strategic planning process, advocating for and allocating resources to promote efficient, effective, safe, and compassionate nursing care, and managing the total work unit budget.
You will act as a resource and facilitate collaboration between nursing personnel and other health care disciplines throughout the organization and within the healthcare community. A key part of your mission is promoting shared decision-making on the unit level and fostering an environment where all staff can grow and develop professionally. Direct reports may include nurse supervisors of assigned inpatient units.
This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.

One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic. Experience in the department's specialty. Management experience. Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited Master's in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, business, or health related field. Any additional specialty certification/training required by the work area.
Skills: Basic Life Support, Pals, RN License, LPN Experience, Ccne, DN.
Education: Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program required; Master's degree in Nursing, business, or health related field required; Preferred: ACEN or CCNE accredited Master's in Nursing or DNP.
