This position is located within the Medical Surgical department on the 4th Floor of the AMC Grafton facility. As a nursing student or recent graduate, you will work under the direct observation and supervision of a Registered Nurse to support patient care. Your day-to-day responsibilities include completing activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs and blood glucose levels, and assisting with patient positioning and transport. You will collaborate with the nursing team to analyze patient needs and help establish care plans, while learning to delegate tasks appropriately to other unit staff. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting, focusing on growth and development principles across the lifespan while managing an increasing number of patients.
This is a part-time role requiring 8 hours per week, consisting of a single 8-hour shift. You will be paired with a preceptor to guide your learning and ensure patient safety.
