Manchester Memorial Hospital, a vital part of the Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN), is dedicated to serving our community with compassion and excellence. Our Healthcare & Medical Services team operates within a supportive, community-oriented environment where every member plays a crucial role in driving meaningful impact on patient health outcomes. We foster a culture of professional growth, ensuring our staff has the resources and encouragement needed to thrive while delivering high-quality care.
As a Nurse Assistant, you will be the compassionate face of our patient care team, providing essential direct support under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role is designed for individuals who find deep fulfillment in the daily rhythms of patient life, from the quiet moments of hygiene and comfort to the critical tasks of monitoring and safety. You will be integral to the patient journey, assisting with admissions, transport, and discharges while ensuring every interaction is handled with dignity and care.
Your day will involve a blend of hands-on assistance and vigilant observation. You will help patients with bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while also supporting mobility and transfers using safe handling techniques. Beyond physical care, you will serve as a vital communication link, providing emotional support to patients and their families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes. Accuracy and safety are paramount; you will measure vital signs, collect specimens, and maintain infection control protocols, ensuring that patient rooms and equipment remain clean, safe, and organized.
We invite you to bring your compassion and dedication to our team. Candidates who meet the core requirements will be contacted for an interview to discuss their experience and fit within our community-focused culture. We are committed to finding the right person to join our family and support our patients.
