Key Responsibilities
check_circleProvide basic patient care including bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
check_circleAssist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning using safe handling techniques
check_circleSupport nurses with specimen collection, simple treatments, and procedure preparation
check_circleMaintain patient rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean, safe, and organized manner
Follow infection prevention, safety, and fall prevention protocols at all times
check_circleAssist with patient admissions, transport, and discharges
check_circleAccurately document care provided in electronic or paper records as directed
check_circleProvide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families
check_circleCollaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive patient outcomes
check_circleMeasure and record vital signs, intake, output, and report changes to nursing staff
Requirements
verifiedCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 60 days of hire
verifiedState of Connecticut Nurse Aide Registry eligibility preferred
verifiedPrior clinical or long-term care rotation experience beneficial
Nice to Have
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months. State of Connecticut Nurse Aide Registry eligibility. Prior clinical or long-term care rotation experience.
