About the Team
SSM Health is dedicated to providing exceptional care to the community. This role is part of the PET CT department at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, where the team works to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
About the Role
This position is a calling that goes beyond a standard career. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to create quality images for radiologists and physicians. Your work involves operating specialized cameras to detect and map radioactive drugs within a patient's body, ensuring accurate positioning and technical factors for every scan.
You will be responsible for the safe ordering, preparation, administration, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols. A key part of your day involves maintaining a clean and orderly department while ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly. You will also be the first line of defense for safety, following strict radiation safety guidelines and reporting any equipment malfunctions immediately.
Hiring Process
Candidates must hold a completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program and possess a valid state license (CNMT or ARRT-N) along with BLS HCP certification. No prior experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for new graduates to begin their journey in healthcare.
