The Nashville VA Medical Center is seeking a Nuclear Medicine physician to provide high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services for our nation's Veterans. In this role, you will interpret a wide range of scans, including PET, SPECT, bone, thyroid, and cardiac imaging, while performing targeted radionuclide therapies such as radioiodine and radiolabeled antibody treatments. You will ensure the safe use of radiopharmaceuticals in strict accordance with NRC and state regulations.
You will collaborate closely with radiologists, oncologists, cardiologists, endocrinologists, and primary care teams. Your day-to-day involves participating in tumor boards and communicating imaging results and treatment plans directly with patients. If you possess training in radiology, you will also have the opportunity to interpret general radiology studies when not performing nuclear medicine duties.
Academic interests are highly encouraged. You will have opportunities to teach residents, fellows, students, and technologists, as well as engage in quality improvement initiatives and optional clinical research.
