As an NJCAP Facilitator, you will play a vital role in empowering students from pre-kindergarten through high school, alongside school staff and parents. This temporary, per diem position covers Salem, Gloucester, and Cumberland Counties. You will deliver the New Jersey Child Assault Prevention (NJCAP) curriculum, which focuses on teaching children their rights to be Safe, Strong, and Free.
Your day will involve presenting interactive, age-appropriate workshops that help students recognize and avoid dangerous situations. You will facilitate discussions and role-plays tailored to developmental levels, creating a safe space for students to ask questions or disclose concerns regarding abuse, neglect, or bullying. Beyond the classroom, you will partner with school staff to report maltreatment concerns to the State Central Registry and maintain up-to-date resource directories for families and educators.
Interested candidates must be willing to complete a background check and fingerprinting as part of the application process. The role requires reliable transportation to various school locations and flexibility to work during school hours, as well as occasional evenings for parent and caregiver programs.
