The Night Auditor at The Sheraton Palo Alto serves as the vital link between guest needs and hotel operations during the overnight hours. This role is dedicated to providing guest-focused hospitality services, acting as the primary resource for customer service, and ensuring the security and safety of all hotel guests. The Night Audit team member is expected to promote hotel services, anticipate guest needs, and drive higher guest satisfaction through proactive engagement.
The ideal candidate will bring a professional attitude and strong communication skills to a fast-paced environment. You will be the face of the hotel when most guests are resting, responsible for greeting arrivals, resolving inquiries with tact and diplomacy, and managing the accurate preparation of guest room bills. Your duties extend to balancing accounts receivable, processing low daily revenue reports, and handling reservations, cancellations, and updates for individuals and groups.
Beyond administrative tasks, this role requires a keen eye for security, involving the careful monitoring of entrances and exits to ensure the safety of all guests. You will also manage the opening and closing of shifts, communicating any outstanding guest requests or issues to management for follow-up. The position demands the ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and resolve conflicts with ease and professionalism to ensure maximum satisfaction for both guests and associates.
Candidates with 2-5 years of prior customer service and hospitality experience are encouraged to apply. The role requires availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Applicants should possess strong English business communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
