The Night Auditor serves as the critical link between daily operations and financial accuracy, ensuring the hotel runs smoothly while the property is quiet. This role goes beyond simple data entry; it involves reconciling all cashier transactions, verifying guest billings, and compiling management reports to provide a clear picture of the day's performance. You will act as the primary point of contact for the front desk during overnight hours, handling check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and switchboard operations to ensure guest satisfaction around the clock.
Your shift will be a dynamic balance of financial precision and hospitality. You will audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports, ensuring the accuracy of city ledger transactions and credit card consolidations before transmitting them to corporate systems. As you process daily, weekly, and monthly data, you will prepare essential documents such as the Daily Operating Report, Discount Programs, and Tax Reports. Beyond the numbers, you will be the face of the hotel for late arrivals and early departures, managing guest requests and maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming throughout your tenure.
