About the Role
WCIV Charleston is seeking a Summer 2026 News Intern to join our fast-paced newsroom. This role is designed for students studying Journalism, Mass Communications, Communications, or a related field who want to experience the world of news firsthand. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of how news is produced from start to finish through a blend of observational learning and hands-on experience. Interns will be assigned to various time slots to ensure a well-rounded exposure to the production cycle.
Hiring Process
This is an unpaid internship that must be coordinated with the student's respective college or university for academic credit under the sponsorship of educational faculty. Interested candidates should ensure they are registered in an internship course at their institution during the quarter or semester in which the internship is performed.
