As a Resident CPE, you will join a committed, caring group of colleagues dedicated to the well-being of others. In this role, you will provide pastoral services Monday through Friday under the direction of a Chaplain Supervisor, with 8-hour-per-day accountability to a dually accredited CPE program (CPSP and CPEI). You will serve in a 24-7 rotation as a Duty Chaplain and participate in on-call responsibilities.
Your passion for creating positive patient interactions will be valued as you collaborate with physicians, nurses, community clergy, and other staff to meet the religious, sacerdotal, and spiritual needs of patients and families. You will use Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) to increase your competence as a service provider, demonstrating the incremental satisfaction of specific training objectives. Your ministry will include formal support services such as spirituality groups, new admit visits, code response, and notarizing advance medical directives, serving as a vital member of the interdisciplinary team.
