The Opportunity
Are you a credentialed ergonomics professional who thrives on variety, autonomy, and measurable impact? We're looking for an experienced Certified Ergonomist to join our growing network of independent contractors, bringing evidence-based expertise to a diverse portfolio of clients across office, industrial, and hybrid work settings.
This is not a traditional 9-to-5 role. It is a flexible, high-impact contracting engagement designed for self-starters who want to own their schedule, expand their client base, and get paid competitively for specialized expertise. You will conduct both on-site and remote assessments, deliver actionable recommendations, and help real people work more safely and comfortably every day. As a partner, you will not need to cold-call; we bring the clients, and you deliver the expertise.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleDeliver detailed assessment reports with clear findings, risk ratings, and prioritized recommendations
- check_circlePerform asynchronous remote evaluations using video submissions and digital assessment platforms
- check_circleIdentify musculoskeletal risk factors and design practical, cost-effective interventions
- check_circleDevelop and deliver ergonomics training sessions, toolbox talks, and educational materials
- check_circleCollaborate with safety officers, HR professionals, and facilities teams to implement recommendations
- check_circleMaintain accurate assessment records and documentation in compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards
- check_circleSupport follow-up evaluations to measure the effectiveness of implemented ergonomic controls
Requirements
- verifiedCPE or CIE certification required
- verifiedBachelor's or Master's degree in Ergonomics, Human Factors, Kinesiology, OT, AT, or related field
- verifiedMinimum 3 years conducting ergonomic assessments
- verifiedProficiency in RULA, REBA, NIOSH Lift Equation
- verifiedFamiliarity with OSHA standards
- verifiedAbility to travel 25–50%
Nice to Have
Experience with remote and hybrid workforce ergonomics, including video-based assessments, self-assessment platforms, and asynchronous consultation workflows. Knowledge of assistive technology, adaptive workstation design, and ADA-compliant ergonomic solutions. Experience across multiple industries such as technology, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and financial services. Familiarity with wearable sensor technology, motion capture tools, or digital human modeling software. Strong interpersonal and client-relations skills to build trust and communicate persuasively to non-technical audiences. Bilingual capabilities in Spanish, French, or other languages spoken in client workforces.
