The Neurophysiology Technologist II serves as a vital member of the Neurophysiology department, operating under direct supervision to assist in the performance of complex procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and brain disorders. This role is designed for a professional who can competently manage two or more modalities of neurophysiology studies, including EEG, EMU, LTM, ECI, and pruning studies.
In this position, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of patient interaction, from preparation and education to post-study paperwork and file maintenance. You will care for patients across all age groups, ensuring a safe environment while promoting evidence-based practice and quality initiatives. A key aspect of this role involves the technical operation of equipment, including setting, adjusting, and troubleshooting devices during procedures, as well as maintaining the department's equipment inventory.
Beyond technical execution, the Neurophysiology Technologist II acts as a mentor, training and precepting new hires while collaborating closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, managers, and fellow technologists. You will function flexibly within the department, potentially supporting areas such as the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, and are expected to adhere strictly to hospital guidelines while participating in required educational and departmental meetings.

Associate's Degree in science or health related field. Two (2) or more years of experience in the Neurophysiology/Neurodiagnostics/Polysomnography field. Registered/Certified Neurodiagnostics Technologist within 3 years.
