About the Role
This position serves as a critical pillar for our network infrastructure, focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust Layer 2 and Layer 3 environments. The role exists to ensure seamless data flow and optimal performance across our multi-vendor ecosystem, protecting network integrity while enabling business continuity.
In this hybrid role based in Albuquerque, NM, you will navigate a dynamic environment that balances on-site collaboration with remote flexibility, including necessary travel. Your day-to-day involves configuring and managing switches, wireless access points, and routers, while implementing security measures like VLANs, ACLs, and firewall rules to prevent unauthorized access. You will act as the primary troubleshooter for complex network issues, diagnosing bottlenecks and executing upgrades to ensure minimal downtime.
Success in this position requires a collaborative spirit, as you will work closely with IT teams to integrate network solutions with broader systems and applications. You will also be responsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation of configurations and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
