As part of the Network & Communications team, the Underground Autonomous Systems Technician will be at the heart of supporting the network and communications systems for autonomous machinery and mining infrastructure vital to our operations. This role is critical during the implementation of the Automation Project and as the project transitions into ongoing operations.
You will work safely and effectively with minimal supervision, serving as the first responder for loader faults and autonomous issues. Your day will involve collaborating with field and office personnel to support daily installation and productive haulage plans, while maintaining autonomous hardware to OEM standards. You will also provide technical support through in-field calibration of on-board sensors, including cameras, LiDAR, and communications systems, ensuring the physical availability of base underground loaders.

Two years of practical experience in surface or underground mining departments under MSHA regulations. Autonomous systems or operational experience. Knowledge and experience in networking and communication design to follow, implement and maintain Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model. Proficiency with SAP, PuTTY, and Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Proficiency with emerging technology adoption. Systems experience. Mechanical aptitude.
