About the Team
Neonatology Associates of Northern California (NANC), in partnership with Sutter Healthcare, has provided specialized neonatal care in the Sacramento region since the program's inception in 1974. Our core physician group is dedicated to achieving excellent neonatal outcomes through evidence-based medical care. We take pride in our high survival rates without significant morbidity for neonates under 1500 grams, a benchmark we actively share with prospective colleagues.
Our facilities include a busy 61-bed Level IV Regional NICU at Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento (expanding to 81 beds) and a 16-bed Community NICU in Roseville. Both centers are expanding to meet growing community needs. We are supported by a strong medical and surgical subspecialty network and a regional transport team staffed by specially trained nurses and respiratory therapists, covering a 27-county area with capabilities for high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia during transport.
