About the Role
As an NCT - Medical Assistant at CareNow, you will join a collaborative team passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care. This role exists to support our physician-driven model by ensuring efficient patient flow and accurate clinical documentation. You will be the face of the clinic, keeping patients and visitors informed of progress while managing the logistical and clinical needs of the urgent care environment.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of clinical and administrative tasks. You will take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections. A key part of your responsibilities includes performing all x-ray and imaging services according to provider orders and updating patient charts accordingly. You will also assist with check-in and check-out processes, audit charts, and maintain detailed records of in-house lab work, drug screens, and external lab submissions. Additionally, you may apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.

Requirements

- verifiedGeneral Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT), Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT), or Non-Registered Technician (NCT) license in state of residency
- verifiedCurrent BLS Certification within 30 days of start
- verifiedFederal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months
Nice to Have
1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting. Experience using an EHR system. Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
