WR Systems is seeking a Navigation Systems Technical Lead to support operations within our specialized navigation lab located in Norfolk, VA (Little Creek). This role is critical for maintaining the integrity of our lab operations, ensuring the seamless testing of navigation systems and components, and managing cable repair and fabrication. The position serves as a technical anchor, providing expert feedback on technical manuals and Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs) to drive operational excellence.
In this capacity, you will lead the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of navigation equipment. Beyond hands-on technical work, you will play a key leadership role by training and overseeing lower-level subject matter experts, field representatives, and technicians, fostering a culture of technical precision and continuous improvement.
Candidates selected for this position must hold an active Secret Clearance and be willing to travel less than 5% annually, primarily to assist at other test facilities or shipyards as needed.
