Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) is engaged in a multi-year initiative to expand research activities in microelectronics design and nanoscale engineering. The Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions at the associate or full professor rank to begin in the Fall of 2026.
Appointments will be in the Intelligent Systems Engineering department, or other departments such as Computer Science and Informatics. We welcome applicants in all areas of microelectronics and nanoscale engineering, including low-power microelectronics, wide-bandgap semiconductors, RF and mixed-signal circuits, optoelectronics, neuromorphic computing, quantum technologies, and nanomaterials.
We encourage applications from scholars who apply interdisciplinary perspectives across these domains and complement existing strengths within the department on radiation effects, reliable microelectronics design, security, trust, nanomedicine, nanobiotechnology, and nanophotonics.
These 10-month appointments would ideally start August 1, 2026, although an earlier or later start date is negotiable. Successful candidates are expected to work on the IUB campus to allow full engagement with the department, school, campus, and community. Indiana University bases its tenure and promotion recommendations upon performance in the three areas of research, teaching, and service, with all individuals expected to excel in research while providing strong performance in teaching and service.
