The Multimedia Specialist III (Photo/Video) serves as a strategic partner in shaping the narrative and visual identity of the organization. Based in Arlington, Virginia, this role is pivotal in bridging the gap between complex technical operations and public understanding. You will not only produce high-quality video and photography but also craft the stories that accompany them, ensuring that the organization's mission is communicated effectively to both internal stakeholders and the broader public.
In this capacity, you will manage the full lifecycle of multimedia production, from concept development and scriptwriting to final editing and distribution. Your work will encompass a diverse array of formats, including video news releases, feature articles, speeches, and social media content. Beyond production, you will drive strategic communication plans and analyze web and social media analytics to refine engagement strategies. You will also play a key role in event management, overseeing logistics and execution for approximately 40 national and international exhibits and events annually.
Your day might begin with reviewing analytics to adjust the day's content strategy, followed by on-site videography at a ceremony or conference. You will then transition to the editing suite to produce motion graphics, applying lighting and sound design to enhance storytelling. Throughout the day, you will collaborate with team members to manage project timelines, handle administrative support, and conduct archival research to create historical products. You will also ensure all visual outputs adhere to strict Navy customs, protocols, and security considerations.
Candidates must possess a valid SECRET clearance to be considered for this position. The selection process involves a thorough review of qualifications, including a demonstration of proficiency in digital video equipment and editing software. Successful candidates will be evaluated on their ability to work both independently and as part of a team, as well as their project management capabilities.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. This role requires adherence to specific security protocols and Navy customs regarding uniform wear and information dissemination.
