About the Role
Fox 13 Seattle is seeking motivated, curious, and collaborative storytellers for our Newsroom Internship. This hands-on opportunity is designed for college students ready to dive into the high-energy world of live news. You won't just be watching from the sidelines; you will work directly with award-winning journalists, producers, and digital teams to create impactful content for our broadcast, streaming, and social platforms.
In this role, you will gain a 360-degree view of how a modern newsroom functions. You will assist with daily operations, from story research and fact-checking to pitching and scriptwriting. A unique aspect of this internship is the chance to navigate the intersection of journalism and technology, utilizing AI-driven tools to streamline production and enhance audience engagement. You will also monitor real-time trends to contribute to social media strategy and support crews in the field and studio.
