As a Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) Specialist, you will serve as a technical subject matter expert for NOV's MPD systems. This role is designed to provide advanced technical support to both internal teams and customers, acting as a key escalation point for challenging MPD-related issues. You will support complex MPD operations through system analysis, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and integration support across drilling and automation platforms.
In this position, you will contribute technical expertise across planning, execution, and post-operation analysis. Your day-to-day will involve analyzing MPD system performance and pressure data to identify improvement opportunities and reduce non-productive time. You will collaborate with engineering, product management, and operations teams to support product enhancements and system integration, while also contributing to the development of MPD equipment and software, including early kick and loss detection capabilities.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience; Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience with integrated MPD systems, automated drilling controls, or real-time drilling optimization tools. Familiarity with early kick and loss detection (EKLD) systems. Offshore or rig-site experience supporting drilling or pressure control operations. Understanding of MPD specialty equipment such as rotating control devices (RCD/ACD), choke manifolds, flow measurement systems, and pressure control hardware.
