About the Role
Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories PSS is seeking an Associate Level Scientist to support and contribute to a client's peptide discovery team. You will be an integral part of an innovative, interdisciplinary team that utilizes phage and mRNA display platforms to enable de novo peptide discovery.
In this role, you will support the build and execution of phage libraries and display selections to identify target-specific peptide therapeutics. Your day-to-day will involve routinely preparing reagents for phage and mRNA display selections, including peptide libraries, components of in vitro translation systems, aminoacyl-tRNAs, and buffers. Diligently maintaining detailed, well-organized records of experiments using Electronic Notebooks is a key part of your workflow.
The ideal candidate brings scientific curiosity and a strong desire to learn and implement new technologies and platforms. This position is full-time, scheduled from 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime required.

Nice to Have
Knowledge and experience in PCR, DNA/RNA preparation & purification, and ELISA. Knowledge and experience in cloning, cell-culture, and protein expression & purification. Prior experience working with bacteriophages and their use in creating libraries and screening in phage display experiments. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, independent, and results-oriented.
