We are seeking a Systems Engineer to lead the development of DoD programs through rigorous Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches. This role is designed for a professional with a software development background who is eager to improve the state of the practice and demonstrate the advantages of MBSE in achieving architectural integrity and traceability.
You will work alongside leading domain experts in sensors development and cybersecurity, utilizing MBSE tools and techniques to support DoD Digital Engineering goals. The position offers a unique opportunity to implement customization and automation techniques within Cameo (MagicDraw) to enable multi-disciplinary programs to comply with evolving government standards. As the field moves toward agile approaches that incorporate model-based requirements management, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between system modeling and software development.
In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for implementing traceability between MBSE model content and domain-specific analysis tools and simulation frameworks. You will also have the chance to mentor junior staff, fostering the growth of subject matter expertise across the organization while working on programs that are adopting new methodologies to realize complex program designs.
