Lap of Love is dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care for companion animals in the comfort of their own homes. Our mission is to improve the final moments of pets' lives while offering profound support to grieving families. We believe that every animal deserves a peaceful, dignified farewell, and every family deserves a gentle, informed journey through loss.
As a Mobile Veterinarian, you will be the heart of our hospice and euthanasia services. This role goes beyond clinical practice; it is a vocation centered on empathy, quality-of-life assessments, and delivering high-standard care in a home setting. You will collaborate with a supportive, mission-driven team to manage your own schedule and travel routes, ensuring that every visit is safe, efficient, and deeply personal.
Your day will involve performing in-home consultations, developing comfort-focused care plans, and executing peaceful euthanasia procedures. Beyond the medical aspects, you will serve as a counselor, offering empathetic guidance to families facing difficult decisions and providing education on symptom management and aftercare. You will maintain accurate medical records and manage controlled substances, all while upholding the highest ethical and clinical standards.
Interested candidates should submit their application with a cover letter highlighting their experience in hospice care or end-of-life support. The selection process includes a review of credentials, followed by an interview to discuss clinical philosophy and alignment with our mission. Final candidates will undergo a background check and verification of state licensure and vehicle reliability.
Lap of Love is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We consider qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
