Lap of Love is dedicated to providing compassionate, in-home hospice and euthanasia services for companion animals. Our mission is to improve the final chapter of pets' lives by offering a peaceful, dignified alternative to traditional clinic settings. We support families through end-of-life decisions with empathy and clarity, ensuring that every farewell is handled with the highest standards of medical and emotional care.
As a Mobile Veterinarian, you will work independently in the field to deliver gentle exams and develop comfort-focused care plans for animals in their own homes. This role is designed for a veterinarian who finds deep meaning in supporting families during their most difficult moments. You will travel to clients' homes within your assigned territory, performing in-home euthanasia and palliative care while maintaining accurate medical documentation.
Your day involves coordinating scheduling and routing, communicating sensitively with families about prognosis and quality-of-life options, and collaborating closely with our supportive team and referring veterinarians. You will uphold strict compliance regarding controlled substances and medical supplies, ensuring safe and professional travel while participating in ongoing training to maintain our high standards of care.
To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your experience with hospice, palliative care, and in-home euthanasia. Candidates selected for the next stage will participate in an initial screening call followed by a discussion regarding your clinical approach and alignment with our mission. Final candidates will complete a practical assessment of their comfort and proficiency with our specific protocols before receiving an offer.

We consider qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
