Lap of Love seeks a compassionate Mobile Veterinarian to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services for pets. You will deliver gentle, high-quality end-of-life care, guiding families through difficult decisions and ensuring peaceful, dignified farewells in the comfort of their homes.
This role is more than clinical practice; it is about partnership. You will work within a supportive team that deeply values empathy, collaboration, and emotional support for both pets and their families. Every day, you will make a meaningful impact by offering a safe space for families to say goodbye, combining medical expertise with profound human connection.
Your day begins with preparing your mobile practice and traveling to clients' homes. You will perform compassionate, low-stress euthanasia and conduct detailed quality-of-life consultations to help families navigate complex medical decisions. Beyond the procedure, you will spend time educating and supporting families, ensuring they feel heard and cared for during a challenging time.
You will document medical histories and treatments accurately, coordinate care and scheduling with the support team, and manage the safe handling and aftercare arrangements for remains. Adhering to best practices in pain management and palliative medicine is central to your work, as is maintaining controlled substances and medical supplies in strict compliance with regulations.
At Lap of Love, we believe that end-of-life care should be as dignified as life itself. We foster an environment where empathy is not just a soft skill but a core professional requirement. Our team collaborates closely, participating in ongoing training and case discussions to ensure every veterinarian is equipped to handle the emotional and clinical nuances of hospice care.
Interested candidates should submit their application with a cover letter highlighting their experience in hospice, palliative care, and client communication. Selected applicants will be invited for an interview to discuss their clinical background and alignment with our mission of compassionate care.
