About the Role
Lap of Love is seeking a compassionate Mobile Veterinarian to provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services for companion animals. In this unique role, you will travel to clients' homes to perform quality-of-life assessments, manage pain and comfort-focused treatment plans, and deliver peaceful, dignified farewells. You will guide families through difficult end-of-life decisions with empathy and clear communication, ensuring that every pet receives the highest standard of care during their final moments.
This position is designed for a veterinarian who values collaboration and emotional support. You will join a supportive team dedicated to maintaining high standards of veterinary care while navigating the sensitive nature of end-of-life medicine. Your day will involve conducting comprehensive physical exams, administering medications and sedation, and coordinating care with primary care veterinarians and specialists. Additionally, you will educate families on end-of-life options and aftercare services, all while maintaining accurate medical records using mobile EMR tools.
