MLF America operates as a vital node within the global MLFmonde network, which includes organizations such as OSUI, MLCI, and AFLEC. Under the umbrella of the French Secular Mission (Mission Laïque Française), the network comprises approximately 30 schools, primarily located across the United States with two additional sites in Canada. The team is dedicated to upholding the mission of secular, high-quality education in bilingual environments.
Reporting to the Executive Director of the MLF America network in Houston, the Pedagogical Advisor serves as a strategic partner to the teaching staff across the entire network. The core mission of this role is to accompany educators through targeted professional development, ensuring that pedagogical practices align with the specific demands of bilingual education in the US and Canada.
This position acts as a bridge between the local network and the Professional Development Division at the MLF headquarters in Paris, ensuring that all actions reflect the organization's global professional development policy. The Advisor works in close collaboration with two other MLF America Pedagogical Advisors—one French-speaking and one English-speaking—as well as the Pedagogical Managers of individual schools.
The role is dynamic and flexible, involving both remote support and on-site visits to MLF America establishments. The mobility program is determined through consultation with the MLF America team and the Paris headquarters. Day-to-day activities involve designing and delivering distance training, co-creating multimedia teaching materials, and providing individualized coaching to teachers enrolled in university degrees. The Advisor also plays a key role in integrating digital learning tools and monitoring the effectiveness of training initiatives through data analysis and feedback surveys.
