KBR's Mission Engineering Division delivers complex technical solutions and expert support to the U.S. Department of War. Specializing in modeling and simulation, cyber transformation, air vehicle mission integration, and lifecycle support, we serve as a trusted partner with a proven history in mission technology. We collaborate closely with clients to develop innovative and effective solutions, prioritizing data security, privacy, and responsible information management to ensure mission success.
We are seeking a Mission Systems Test Engineer to support systems and software integration, test planning and execution, configuration control, and technical documentation efforts for the Navy's Advanced Sensor Technologies Program Office (AST PO). This position operates within a fast-paced engineering environment, requiring a highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills.
In this role, you will apply engineering principles to enable the development, integration, test, verification, production, and sustainment of airborne and ground mission systems. Your day-to-day will involve performing system-level tests in laboratory environments, assisting in ground and flight test management, and developing test concepts of operations for fleet use. You will integrate, test, and develop solutions to support engineering and programmatic decisions, while preparing detailed test plans and technical analysis for reports, change proposals, and trade studies.
Collaboration is key; you will coordinate with engineers, government stakeholders, and contractors to ensure consistent and accurate configuration controls across various mission systems. A critical aspect of the role involves developing and maintaining information assurance documentation required to obtain an Interim Approval to Test (IATT) and an Approval to Operate (ATO), ensuring all activities comply with established information security and quality standards.
Applicants for this position may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Please note that while this position is currently accepting applicants, work is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2026.
