Mini Bus Driver (Non C.D.L.)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Non-CDL Bus Driver to support our after-school program. This role is vital to ensuring the safe and timely transportation of children, staff, and participants to and from designated locations. Beyond driving, you will play an active part in the program's ecosystem by assisting with activities during non-driving hours and helping to maintain a welcoming environment within the vehicle.

Day in the Life

Your day begins with thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure the 15-passenger minibus is in safe operating condition, checking essential fluids and correcting any safety hazards. You will then navigate designated routes, adhering strictly to established schedules and safety protocols while fostering a positive atmosphere for all passengers. Upon arrival, you will support program activities, engaging with children and families and collaborating with staff. The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle and conducting post-trip checks to report any necessary maintenance needs promptly.

Working Environment

This position requires daily interaction with club staff, members, and outside organizations. The role involves outdoor work and moderate physical activity, including standing for extended periods, kneeling, reaching, bending, and lifting objects weighing over 25 lbs. While the primary schedule focuses on daily afternoon and evening hours, occasional weekend work and travel to special events or field trips may be required.
