As a Millwright/Rigger, you will be the backbone of our machinery erection and installation efforts. This role is critical for ensuring industrial equipment is set, leveled, and aligned with precision on foundations or base plates. You will work directly with electric motors, turbines, and other power sources, often combining mechanical trade skills to assemble complex systems from prefabricated parts.
Success in this position requires more than just mechanical aptitude; you must be able to interpret blueprints and technical schematics to execute floor layouts and equipment elevations. Whether you are disassembling and assembling machinery or operating rigging equipment like dollies, jacks, and lift trucks, your work ensures the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.
This is a physically demanding role that requires adaptability to various conditions. You will spend significant time standing, walking, bending, and squatting, often for 10-12 hour shifts. The work may take you to heights, requiring you to climb ladders, stairways, and scaffolding while adhering to strict fall protection protocols.
You will be required to work in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, cold, and wind, while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, respirators, high-visibility vests, and steel-toed boots. The ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and operate machinery with precision is essential.
