As a Millwright/Rigger, you will be the backbone of our machinery erection and installation efforts. This role is critical for ensuring industrial equipment is set up with precision, combining the skills of various mechanical trades to assemble machines from prefabricated parts or install complex systems on foundations.
You will be responsible for leveling, aligning, and installing heavy machinery, electric motors, and power sources such as turbines. Success in this position requires the ability to read blueprints and technical schematics to execute floor layouts and set equipment elevations accurately. You will often work with steel and utilize rigging equipment to move and position heavy loads safely.
This is a physically demanding role that requires adherence to strict safety protocols. You will spend significant time standing, walking, bending, and squatting, often for 10-12 hour shifts. The work environment includes both indoor manufacturing facilities and outdoor settings where you must work in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, cold, and wind.
Safety is paramount. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, respirators, high-visibility vests, and steel-toed boots. The role may involve working at heights, climbing ladders and stairways, or operating on platforms and scaffolding, always utilizing appropriate fall protection.
