About the Team

K12, a Stride Company, believes in Education for ANY ONE. We provide families with an online option for a high-quality, personalized education experience where students can thrive, find their passion, and learn in an environment that encourages discovery at their own pace.

The Missouri Digital Academy (MODA) is a passionate partner school within the Stride K12 network. Our mission is to provide an exemplary, individualized, and engaging educational experience by incorporating school and community/family partnerships, a rigorous curriculum, and a data-driven, student-centered instructional model. Student success is measured through valid assessment data, parent and student satisfaction, and continued institutional growth.

About the Role

The Career Readiness Education (CRE) Business Teacher is a highly qualified, state-certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. This role focuses on developing, facilitating, and managing programs that support career pathways and integrated academics. You will provide instructional leadership, community building, and human resource management to ensure a quality educational experience.

In this position, you will prepare students with specific technical skills, employability skills, and integrated academics for advancement along a career path and lifelong learning. You will deliver rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences, personalizing instruction to meet individual student needs. By monitoring progress through Stride K12's learning management system, you will actively work closely with students and parents (learning coaches) to advance learning toward established goals.

While this is a remote position, you will typically work from a professional home office during standard business hours (9-5 or 8-4). The role requires the ability to work independently for 40+ hours per week. Additionally, you will travel occasionally (approximately 20% of the time) to various school functions, such as state testing or professional development.

Hiring Process

To apply, please submit your application through our careers portal. If you are a job seeker with a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to apply, you can request the appropriate accommodation by contacting stridecareers@k12.com.
