The Manufacturing Technician plays a vital role in the production and post-processing of medical devices. This position focuses on secondary processes such as deburring, media blasting, polishing, filing, cleaning, and packaging. The role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
In this position, you will perform production activities including equipment set-up, line clearance, processing, labeling, and record completion while strictly adhering to quality system guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You will also support equipment maintenance activities and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
A key aspect of the role involves performing inspections for components and products at all stages of the manufacturing process. Compliance with safety regulations (OSHA), GMP, GDP, GLP, and 21 CFR 820 is essential to maintaining the high standards required in medical device manufacturing.
The work environment may involve handling or exposure to metallic powders, other powder materials, polymeric resins, cleaning solutions, inert gases, and acids. The role requires the ability to intermittently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Depending on the task performed, the position may require extended periods of standing, extensive manual work with tools, and occasional squatting, kneeling, or working with a ladder. Proper PPE, including eye protection, hearing protection, and gowning, is required.
